World's Best Taekwondo ("we," "us," or "our") operates www.wbtaekwondo.com and the martial-arts school located at 501 W Huntington Dr, Monrovia, California. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are a local school, not an advertising business: we do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Information we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us. Specifically:

When you submit the contact form

Our contact form asks for the name, email address, and phone number of the parent, guardian, or adult student making the request, along with the prospective student's age, prior martial-arts experience, preferred training days, and anything you type into the optional message box. All of these fields are used to schedule and prepare for your introductory meeting.

When you enroll

For enrolled students we keep a school record containing the student's name and age and a parent's or student's email address and phone number, so we can reach you about classes, testings, tournaments, schedule changes, and closures.

When we send you email

Our school emails include a small tracking image and links that pass through our own server. This lets us see whether a message was opened and which links were clicked, recorded against your email address, so we can tell whether announcements are actually reaching families. This information stays on our own systems and is never used for advertising. You can stop it entirely by unsubscribing (see Your choices), or by turning off automatic image loading in your email program.

What we do not collect

This website contains no advertising trackers, no analytics services, and no social-media pixels. We do not use Google Analytics, the Meta/Facebook pixel, or any comparable tool. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not track your browsing across other websites.

Cookies

The public pages of this site set no cookies at all. A single cookie (admin_session) is set only when a member of our staff signs in to the school's private administrative dashboard. It exists to keep that person signed in, is strictly necessary for that purpose, and is never used to track visitors.

How we use your information

• To contact you about your interview request and schedule your visit.
• To communicate with enrolled families about classes, testings, events, and closures.
• To send occasional school announcements and newsletters, which you may opt out of at any time.
• To maintain our own student records and keep them accurate.

We do not use your information for any other purpose without asking you first.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We share it only with the service providers that operate this website on our behalf, and only to the extent they need it to do that job:

• Railway — hosts our website and database.
• Resend — delivers our email on our behalf.
• Supabase — stores files attached to school emails.

We may also disclose information if we are required to by law, or where necessary to protect the safety of our students or staff.

Children's privacy

We teach children, so we take this seriously. Our contact form is directed to parents and guardians, not to children, and we ask that it be completed by a parent, guardian, or adult student. The only information we collect about a child is the child's age at the time of inquiry and, once enrolled, the child's name and age. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us at the address below and we will delete it promptly.

How long we keep it

We keep interview requests and student records for as long as we are in contact with you or your child is enrolled, and afterward only as long as we need them for our own school records. You can ask us to delete yours sooner at any time.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe. Every school email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Using it stops all marketing and announcement email to your address immediately. We may still contact you directly about an active enrollment.
• Review, correct, or delete. Email or call us using the details below and we will tell you what we have on file, fix anything that is wrong, or delete your information. We may ask you to confirm your identity first so we don't hand your information to someone else.

Do Not Track

Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because this site does not track visitors across websites or over time in the first place, we do not need to change our behavior in response to these signals, and we do not respond to them differently.

Third-party tracking

We do not permit third parties to collect personally identifiable information about your online activities over time or across different websites through this site. Our site does load fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address in the course of serving those files. Pages that embed a Google Map or link to our Instagram, Facebook, or Yelp pages may also involve those companies' own privacy practices, which are governed by their policies and not this one.

Security

This site is served entirely over HTTPS, and staff access to student records requires a password-protected login. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit who can see your information to the people who need it to run the school.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date at the top. Material changes will be noted here for at least 30 days, and where appropriate we will also tell you by email. Please check back from time to time.
